CMYK
• Simulation: CMYK color simulation is displayed in response to the input data. The default is
Device. Ink Simulation can be selected.
• Intent: Enabled when Ink simulation is selected for Simulation. The mapping method for
ink simulation is displayed. Absolute, Relative, Perceptual, or Saturation Priority can be
selected. The default is Relative.
• Color Space: Enabled when Ink Simulation is selected for Simulation. The color space for
ink simulation is displayed. CMYK is T01 for printing, and T02 for newspaper. The default is
T01 for printing.
• Image Quality: Enabled when Ink Simulation is selected for Simulation. The image quality
adjustment method for ink simulation is displayed. Business Document or Photo can be
selected. The default is Business Document.
Note
RGB Image Quality Priority cannot be set for PS/PDF. Only Business Document can be set.
• CSA Profile: Not supported in this version.
Output Screen Characteristics
• Screen Job: Auto, Halftone Dot, or Error Diffusion can be specified.
Fixed as Halftone Dot for PDF, which cannot be changed.
• Screen Frequency: Sets the screen frequency. The type of screen frequency that can be set
changes depending on the data format.
When TIFF/IPDS/PLW are selected:
• When Print Mode is Color: 80/100/120/150/200/300
• When Print Mode is B/W: 85/106/141/200/300
When Print Mode is changed, the screen frequency returns to the initial value. The initial values
are 120 for Color and 106 for B/W.
When Error Diffusion is selected, the Screen Frequency is fixed to 120 for Color and 106 for B/W.
When PS/PDF is selected
If the print mode is the same for both Upstream and Downstream, the setting value for
Upstream is used for Downstream and the screen frequency for Downstream cannot be
operated. If the print mode is different for Upstream and Downstream, the set frequency for
Upstream is displayed. The following table shows the screen frequencies.
