DATA 1 to DATA 8 These eight high-true signals are used to transfer data from the

user’s system to the printer.

ACK This low-true signal from the printer informs your system that a data byte has

been received.

BUSY This high-true signal from the printer indicates that it is busy and cannot receive

data. When it is low, the printer is ready to receive data.

PAPER ERROR This high-true printer output indicates a paper out condition.

SELECT This high-true output indicates that the printer is selected to receive data.

SELIN This signal is used for bi-directional data transfer.

FAULT This printer output, when low, indicates a printer fault condition.
